Yahoo! Picks

Etsy
We should have written this Pick months ago. But we're incapable of coming near Etsy without abandoning all sense of time, obligation, and, let's face it, fiscal responsibility. Forget any other web phenom you've heard about recently, the Greatest Current Thing is Etsy. Here, creators and lovers of fine (and funky) handcrafted items buy and sell a wide variety of goods. Tote bags, artists' books, photographs, knitted wear, collage work, jewelry, ceramics, polymer beasties, they're all here, plus much, much more. Surely, we've already lost readers to the addictive, ebullient site, but for those of you still with us: Begin with the main showcase, check in with the featured seller, experience the space-craft continuum with the "time machine," and perhaps take a joyful romp through the "shop by color" section. And then, let your fancy guide you. You've entered the joyous realm of Etsy.

Dainty Deity Designs is a part of this awesome community, "ETSY", that was a Yahoo pick in August.

Shown in the photo above is Christina of Dainty Deity modeling the Invisible Headband that I now own :) Ladies this is an ingenious accessory and you absolutely must have one (or ten)! :)

I really could not wait to get my hands on this "Invisible Headband" and so I secret shopped Christina of Dainty Deity. This is such a great item to have in your accessories and now I want one in every color, especially black and white (go figure! lol). The headband itself is very light and does not pinch your hair or make your head hurt. My hair is below my shoulders and one length and I do like to wear it different ways and get creative with "hair jewelry".

This "Invisible Headband" has been worn while working, hanging out with friends, out to dinner and cocktail parties. I have received so many compliments on it too. It brings to your hair/hairstyle a lovely and special touch. I always like to have elegant and pretty barrettes but usually they pinch my hair or end up hurting my head after wearing them for an hour or so. These are the cure for no more pinching or headaches :) I highly recommend them. In addition, purchasing from Christina is such a delight. She packages everything so nicely and really goes the extra mile. It is obvious that she puts her heart and soul into her work. Whenever I wear it I feel like I'm getting a special hug :)

Much love, xoxo-pm

Christina, of Dainty Deity, makes the most adorable invisible headbands.... They are must-haves for all the gals on your shopping list. You'll want to buy yourself one, too!

Christina is mommy to a sweet little boy, and manages to create these one-of-a-kind headbands, beaded on invisible cords, using crystals, beads and unique color designs. She sent me the Dainty Health headband, as a gift, and I wear it often... I have longer hair, but can wear it with my hair down, and can even wear it when I pull my hair back. I love it!

Dainty Deity offers several styles and designs, and you can even customize your headband with colors and beads of your choice. Christina offers hand-crocheted baby headbands, too. Go, check 'em out... They are too cute!
